PDFHub Free uses pdf-lib and PDF.js — two open-source JavaScript libraries — to read, modify, and generate PDF files directly inside your browser tab. When you drop a file into one of our tools, it's loaded into your browser's memory and processed there. The result is then offered as a download. At no point does any data leave your device.
This approach has real limits — very large files or highly complex PDFs may run slowly on older devices — but for the vast majority of everyday PDF tasks, it's faster and more private than any server-based alternative.
